 故事发生在二十世纪三十年代初期，莉莲（简·方达 Jane Fonda 饰）前往维也纳寻找自己曾经的好友茱莉亚（瓦妮莎·雷德格瑞夫 Vanessa Redgrave 饰），到达目的地之后，莉莲才知道，茱莉亚因为和法西斯支持者发生了激烈冲突而受伤住进了医院，之后不知所踪。在莉莲回归自己的生活之后，她意外的收到了茱莉亚的来信，在信中，茱莉亚请求莉莲帮助自己投运五万美元给反纳粹组织，尽管这一举动在当时意味着巨大的危险，但是莉莲还是答应了茱莉亚，最终，两个多年未见的好友在柏林重逢。然而，没过多久，莉莲便受到了茱莉亚的死讯，在悲痛之中，莉莲明白，自己还有未完成的任务。

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　在网络监查科兼职的大学生俊赫，为了和生气的女友世熙（朴宝英 饰）重归于好，转而求助于女友的妹妹——高中女孩静美。静美是一个沉迷以来网络的时尚女孩，她答应帮助俊赫，条件是俊赫能帮她找一些网上封禁的稀奇古怪的视频。万般无奈，俊赫只得帮忙寻找，谁知却意外下载到一段诡异的视频。这段视频每次的文件名每次都会改变，每次打开后也会呈现不同的内容，甚至在看完之前都无法关闭。倒霉的静美似乎恰恰碰上了那个传说中的诅咒视频，在此之后，她的周围接连发生诡异事件。　　网络时代带来便利，也衍生了假象与罪恶，通往地狱的大门慢慢开启……
