西伯利亚的理发师
朱莉娅·奥蒙德,欧列格·缅希科夫,阿列克谢·彼得连科,理查德·哈里斯,弗拉基米尔·伊林在一辆开往莫斯科的火车上，军事学院的学生安德烈.托尔斯泰（欧列格·缅希科夫 Oleg Menshikov饰）偶遇了风情万种的美国女人珍（朱莉娅·奥蒙德 Julia Ormond 饰），两人暗生情愫。珍谎称自己是个寡妇，来俄罗斯看 望疯狂的机械师父亲（理查德·哈里斯 Richard Harris 饰），但实际上是被请来骗取军事学院院长拉德洛夫将军（阿列克谢·彼得连科 Aleksey Petrenko 饰）信任的交际花，好让机械师的“西伯利亚理发师”伐木机能够顺利驶进西柏林亚。但是没想到将军对珍动了真感情，并想向她求婚，而安德烈对珍的感情愈演愈烈，珍一方面想接受安德烈的感情，另一方面又想完成任务，于是事件发展到了不可收拾的地步。在一次演出中安德烈因为嫉妒和误会，抽伤了院长，被流放到了西伯利亚。在火车站上尽管珍赶上了最后的送别，但是安德烈始终没能和珍见最后一面。十年后，珍终于在西伯利亚找到了安德烈的住所，但终究逃不过命运的改变……若干年后珍回到了美国，把这段往事在信中讲述给了军事学院的儿子。
死亡阴影
Gilles Barret,Margaux Devy,Sylvain Dubois法国青年克里斯（Fabian Wolfrom 饰），在他11岁时某个夜晚，哈雷彗星接近地球。似乎冥冥中有所感应，他的父母在当晚死于非命。此去经年，哈雷彗星再度接近地球，全世界人民寄予极大关注，各种或科学或玄学的猜测层出不穷，热议纷纷。对克里斯来说这颗星体的造访似乎没有什么特别的，但是他却发现周围人们的举止愈加怪异，人们越来越无法控制自己的情绪，各种暴力和暴动此起彼伏，在所谓的末日为降临前，众生已经陷入绝望的疯狂之中。彗星莅临当晚，克里斯受邀参加一个狂欢派对。谁知未过多久场面便完全失控，各种嗜血恶徒出笼，展开末日杀戮……
四重唱
玛吉·史密斯,汤姆·康特奈,比利·康诺利,保利娜·科林斯,迈克尔·刚本,谢里丹·史密斯,安德鲁·萨克斯,格温妮丝·琼斯,特雷弗·皮科克,大卫·莱尔,迈克尔·伯恩,罗尼·福克斯,帕特里夏·洛夫兰德,伊琳·珀威尔,卢克·纽伯里故事发生在一间专门面向歌剧退休演员开放的养老院里，维尔福（比利·康诺利 Billy Connolly 饰）、雷吉（汤姆·康特奈 Tom Courtenay 饰）和茜茜（宝林·科林斯 Pauline Collins 饰）是那里的明星居民。每一年，这三个出色的演唱者都会通过他们的三重唱向社会募集资金，用以维持养老院的运作。虽然养老院的规模不大，但每一个老人都能在那里找到快乐和安宁。 简（玛吉·史密斯 Maggie Smith 饰）的出现打破了众人宁静的生活，这个高傲又好斗的女人是歌剧界名声大噪的歌唱家，同时，她还是雷吉的前妻。受生活所迫，简不得已住进了这间养老院，前夫雷吉的存在更是让她心中愤愤不平。由于简的加入，三重唱变成了四重唱，但排练的效果并没有因为一个得力唱匠的加入而有所提高，麻烦和争执接踵而至。
等待方舟

The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
