好像一切都很糟糕

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 新外星人

 故事发生在1977年2月8日，围绕一名44岁的前房地产开发商Tony Kiritsis展开。他用枪劫持了贷款公司总裁Richard O. Hall，并在其身上绑了一个“死亡开关”，以此胁迫这位总裁在几近零度的天气里当着警察和记者的面穿过市中心的街道。

　　据日本警方统计，每年仅提交申请的失踪人口就达10万人，其中9万人的行踪可疑确认，但仍有1万人下落不明。位于远郊的一座深山丛林，似乎具有着强烈的魔性，无数人进入这里，从此消失无踪。少女茧（日南响子 饰）偶然和父亲目击一辆绑架了少女的车，父女俩一路追踪，走上了不归之途；家庭主妇真奈（桐島れいか 饰）十年前曾在林中丢失长女，如今他的小女儿阿樱离家上学后也一去不返；正在拍摄恐怖电影的新人女演员丽奈（飞鸟凛 饰）结束工作后，不得不穿越那座恐怖的森林，其中的景象与声音令她战栗不已；小女孩薰（藤本七海 饰）受托照顾邻家的孩子，可是她却遭遇了一个恐怖的人形。　　不同的人，不同的故事，同样的恐怖……
