這是一部只有背景音樂寫實的粗獷毫不妥協且極具風格的獨立無聲藝術電影，描述在美國式的自由民主制度下所誕生的黑社會陰暗面、地痞流氓、吸食毒品、色情、謀殺、販賣軍火等，改編自古希臘荷馬史詩中的人物故事。

 三谷幸喜自编自导。大富豪的妻子须绪美突然失踪，在得知她失踪后，在丈夫居住的豪宅集结的是爱过她的5个男人。但是他们所说的须绪美，无论是外表还是性格，都像是换了一个人。那么，到底须绪美的真面目是什么呢？

　　当一声lesson one响起，不知你的思绪是否也回到了有朗朗读书声的那间教室，回到有雷蕾、何玫玫、Jimmy、Lily、Lucy和鹦鹉Poly陪伴的青春记忆。然而，雷蕾和何玫玫最终却没有走到一起……多年后，这些同学们因鹦鹉Polly的葬礼齐聚学校操场，何玫玫带着丈夫韩刚和两个女儿到场，一个叫可可，一个叫惜惜，这对雷蕾犹如晴天霹雳！失意之极的李雷在无意中按动了装有英语听力磁带的录音机，他发现通过磁带的快进倒带键可以一次又一次的穿越。于是，他开始了一次又一次的追回何玫玫计划……

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
