Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　故事发生在某女子监狱中。深夜子时，万籁俱寂，女囚周露（李佳 饰）面无表情地环视着阴暗的牢房，压抑着狂野的情绪，时间一分一秒过去，她像下定决心般把双手伸向了睡在一旁的另一位狱友。黑夜过去，白昼来临，在遭众狱友轮番凌辱后，周露被管教经纬带进了发泄室中。监房高处窗中射入刺眼的阳光，阳光穿透了周露伤痕累累的胳膊，那是她数次自杀未果的标记。对着墙上斑驳的镜片，她陷入痛苦难奈的回忆之中，冥冥间她似乎看到了早亡的父亲，以及那个沾血的洋娃娃，又似乎看见了继父那双伸向自己的魔爪，还有被逼的疯癫的母亲，随后又出现了向自己施暴的丈夫，周露彻底崩溃了......

一群迈阿密警察在一间废弃的藏身屋发现数百万现钞，彼此之间的信任开始瓦解。随着外部人士得知充公金额如此可观，一切变得疑点重重，到底还剩下什么可以相信？又有谁依然值得信赖？
